If you are from Mexico or maybe from Texas, then this recipe will appeal your taste, this is a traditional recipe that has several levels of flavor and you will also enjoy the chopped vegetables that are in it, including avocados and a little bit of garnish. You will need:
Chicken broth (9 cups)
Roasted garlic (6 cloves)
Tomatoes (1/2 cup, chopped)
Peppers, sliced into rings (2 fresh, jalapeño)
Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
Onion (1/2 yellow onion, sliced)
Chicken meat (2 cups, shredded, cooked)
Lime juice (1)
Tortillas (cut into strips and toasted for garnish, 6 inch)
How to do it:
Take a heavy pot, and bring the broth to a boiling point, in here you will add the garlic, tomatoes and chopped onion, then you can add the jalapeno chili and the oregano stock, then simmer uncovered for at least 30 minutes, then you can broil the sliced onion until they turn soft and a little brown, after this you can add broiled onions, chicken, limejuice and also leave to simmer until the chicken is heated. Then place the toasted tortilla strips in each bowl and then you can pour soup over the strips. Once you have this you can add some garnish to décor it with a little bit more, then you can accompanied with fresh water and if you want to maybe after this delicious soup you can eat a delicious meat.
