Asian style Garlic Beef
I never quite understood how Asian style Garlic Beef was so spicy. It really does pack a punch but when you look at the recipe, there really isn’t anything that is spicy. The marinade is made of soy sauce, lime juice and brown sugar, so far it sounds more like a dessert than the main part of a dinner. Fish sauce, garlic and canola oil are used during cooking up the beef chunks, and yet nothing spicy. A yellow onion, scallions and chopped peanuts give the texture and entertain part of the meal but they don’t have any spicy flavors either. Once it is all together and served over rice however, this dish packs a punch. I don’t know how to lower the spiciness, maybe you can. Here is the recipe and good luck.
